Did you know that the eyes of the great whales peer out from vermillion wood? Or that sawing cherry
wood brings a lovely floral fragrance to the shop?
These and other discoveries have drawn me deeper into the wonderful colors and grain of wood which
sometimes looks like rippled sand, swirling water, bees' wings or all the myriad forms we see in the
clouds. I love to share these glimpses into the inner life of trees.
In my work I try to blend these colors and textures so that they rest well together on boxes and furniture.
It is my hope that they will be touched and cherished everyday.
