Born in Davenport, Iowa to a rural farming couple, I pursued a career in healthcare as a registered nurse
for many years.  Moving to Santa Fe opened the portal to pursue my real passion in life—capturing the
beautiful images of Native American faces and artistic designs used by the early native peoples.  Self
taught, sketching as a child and throughout my life, I am consistently drawn to the culture, beauty, and
rhythm of Native America, and was adopted by the Sioux.  I have participated in a variety of community
and private exhibitions, and numerous works are held in private collections.

Since early childhood, I have been drawn to Native American culture and spirituality.  Inspired by the
strength and beauty visible in the character of native faces and their use of natural materials, I continue
to be compelled to capture these images in my renderings.
