For the past thirty years Barbara has lived and worked along the New England seacoast.  Her work has
been influenced by and, in turn, has reflected that natural coastal beauty.  Recently she completed a
new studio in Galisteo, New Mexico in which to embark on a whole new adventure with clay while
immersed in another spectacular landscape.

Barbara works with high fire porcelain and stoneware clays.  The limited edition and one-of-a-kind
functional ware is fired in a gas reduction atmosphere which encourages the development of earth tones
and subtle color variations in her glazes.  The future direction of new work in this new studio is becoming
a great adventure!

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Art Education, and from
Massachusetts College of Art with a Masters degree, Barbara taught art for more than twenty years.
For the last thirty years, with another potter friend, she has operated Ocmulgee Pottery- a studio, school,
and fine crafts gallery in Ipswich, Massachusetts.

Barbara’s work has been exhibited in craft galleries and museums, and is extensively represented in
private collections.
