Alexander Hale is a cum laude graduate of the University of Illinois with a BS and MS in architecture.  A
member of the American Institute of Architects, he is also certified by the National Council of Architectural
Registration Boards.  Buildings he has designed have received local, national, and international
recognition, receiving a number of awards.

Photography has also been a lifelong profession--his architect's unique view is reflected in his work.  A
study of ethnographic art and primitive civilizations is combined with his architectural and photographic
abilities.  Many of his photographs have been taken during worldwide travels, recording his impressions
of these areas on film.

Mr. Hale is a former president of the Primitive Art Society of Chicago.  His photographs have illustrated
Society programs and have been featured in exhibits of the May Weber Museum of cultural Arts in
Chicago.  As a member of the Deerpath Art League in Lake Forest, IL., he was recipient of the Award of
Excellence in photography at the fall festival.  On moving to Santa Fe, he joined the Eldorado Arts and
Crafts Association.
